Sample Bylaws
1. These are the bylaws of a nonprofit association which shall be known by the name 'Web Ring Fishing #1'.
2. All websites admitted to the ring shall be related to the primary subject of the ring, which is fishing. All members shall maintain a banner link to the next member somewhere on the homepage of their website. This association shall be limited to a maximum of fifty(50) members.
3. This ring shall employ an administrator to ensure that these bylaws, as amended from time to time, are enforced and to maintain web ring operations. The cost of employing the administrator shall be born equally by all members. The administrator shall make assessments as required and may include a reasonable reserve in such assessment against future costs.
4. Additional members may be added to the association at any time in the following manner: (a)applications to join the association shall be directed to the administrator by email to admin@webringsource.com, (b)all applicants shall certify that their website is related to the primary subject of the ring and agree to abide by these bylaws, (c)the administrator shall notify all existing members of valid applications received and new members shall be admitted upon receipt of yeah votes of a majority of the existing members.
5. Existing members may withdraw upon fourteen(14) days notice to the administrator. Members may be withdrawn involuntarily if their website is down for extended periods, or there are other indications they are unable or unwilling to continue participating in the web ring.
6. These bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the members.
7. Each website in this web ring is independently owned and operated. Nothing in these bylaws shall be construed to make the members or their officers or employees, partners or joint venturers. The purpose of this association is strictly limited to joint marketing and advertising only.
8. These bylaws are adopted effective October 3, 2001.
