Sample Bylaws
1. These are the bylaws of a nonprofit association which shall be known by the name 'Open Link Web Ring #2'.
2. All websites may be admitted to the ring without regard to the subject of their website. All members shall maintain a banner link to the next member somewhere on their website. This association shall be open to an unlimited number of members.
3. Each member of this ring shall bear their own costs in maintaining web ring operations and ensure that their site meets requirements of these bylaws.
4. Additional members may be added to the association at any time in the following manner: (a)each existing member may add additional members behind them in the chain, (b)each existing member that admits a new member is responsible for assuring that proper links are set to the new member on his site and that the new member sets proper links to the site previously next in the chain.
5. Existing members may withdraw at any time but are responsible to notify the websites before and after them so the break in the chain can be repaired.
6. These bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the members.
7. Each website in this web ring is independently owned and operated. Nothing in these bylaws shall be construed to make the members or their officers or employees, partners or joint venturers. The purpose of this association is strictly limited to joint marketing and advertising only.
8. These bylaws are adopted effective January 1, 2004.
